The pulpit of a church in Ellecom was looking quite bedraggled when we were asked to restore it. The ‘ceiling’ above the place where the preacher stands was serving as a sounding board. In the case of this pulpit, this sounding board is embellished with golden sunbeams and a silver dove. Part of the sunbeams had disappeared.

We re-created the missing sections in wood, and the entire sounding board was re-gilded with an oil-based gilt. Other defacements were also repaired and the pulpit once again displays its original splendour.
